The Federal Death Penalty System

The Federal Death Penalty System: Supplementary Data, Analysis and Revised Protocols for Capital Case Review is a publication by the U.S. Department of Justice.  This report examines why minority defendants being charged with federal capital crimes exceed the proportion of minority individuals in the general population. The report concludes that  the cause of this disproportion is not racial and is a result of minority representation in the pool of potential federal capital cases.  This source provides insight on why there is a disproportionately higher number of minorities on death row then white people.
